The Jewish Museum is housed in four synagogues. It is a modern museum about Judaism. Three exhibitions illustrate the culture and history of Jews in the Netherlands. The exhibitions consist of various utensils, paintings, drawings, films, photos and 3D presentations. Part of the museum is the Jewish Museum junior, where children learn about Jewish life and Jewish traditions in a playful way.

Jewish Museum + junior has 3 ratings.
The Jewish Museum + junior in Amsterdam offers visitors an educational and interactive experience focused on Jewish culture and history. The museum is well-regarded for its engaging exhibits that cater to both adults and children. Many visitors appreciate the museum's efforts to make complex historical topics accessible to younger audiences through hands-on activities and age-appropriate presentations. The permanent collection provides insight into Jewish traditions, customs, and the history of Jews in the Netherlands. Some reviewers note that while the museum is informative, it may not be as extensive as other Jewish museums in major cities. The children's section, JHM Junior, is often highlighted as a standout feature, offering interactive displays and workshops that keep young visitors entertained while learning. The museum's location in the heart of Amsterdam's old Jewish quarter adds historical context to the visit. Some visitors mention that certain exhibits could benefit from more detailed explanations or translations. Overall, the museum is commended for its educational value and its success in balancing serious historical content with family-friendly presentations.
Hannah
