NEMO Science Museum has 6 ratings.
The NEMO Science Museum in Amsterdam is a popular attraction for visitors of all ages, especially families with children. Located in a striking green copper-clad building shaped like a ship's bow, it offers interactive exhibits and hands-on experiences focused on science and technology.
Many visitors appreciate the museum's engaging approach to learning, with numerous experiments and activities that allow children to explore scientific concepts in a fun, accessible way. The exhibits cover a wide range of topics, including human body, chemistry, physics, and technology.
The rooftop terrace, which offers panoramic views of Amsterdam, is frequently mentioned as a highlight. It's a great spot for visitors to take a break and enjoy the cityscape.
While most reviews are positive, some visitors note that the museum can get crowded, especially during peak times and school holidays. This can sometimes lead to longer wait times for popular exhibits. A few reviewers also mention that some of the explanations are primarily in Dutch, which can be challenging for non-Dutch speakers, although many exhibits are still enjoyable without full language comprehension.
The museum's cafeteria receives mixed reviews, with some finding it overpriced or limited in options. However, this is a minor concern for most visitors given the overall experience.
For those interested in science and interactive learning, the NEMO Science Museum offers an educational and entertaining experience. It's particularly well-suited for families with school-age children, but adults can also find plenty to enjoy and learn from the exhibits.
Wij hebben ons de hele dag vermaakt samen met kids 10 12 14. En heel belangrijk rolstoel vriendelijk.

I expected a proper science museum, that also has something to offer for adults. But it really is only for kids. Your kids will love it, but for parents/adults it is not recommended.
Geweldig!

Perfect for kids. Not so perfect if you hate a lot of kids screaming together. Be sure to check national holidays before visiting.
