Lewarde is a commune located in the Nord department in northern France's Hauts-de-France region. The town is notably home to the Centre Historique Minier, the largest mining museum in France, which is situated at the site of the former Delloye coal mine.

This important cultural institution preserves and presents the rich industrial heritage of Nord-Pas de Calais's mining basin, which was once one of France's major coal mining regions. The museum complex, established in 1984, documents nearly three centuries of coal mining history in the region, offering visitors insights into the lives of miners and the technological evolution of mining operations. The surrounding area retains much of its mining heritage architecture and infrastructure, which has been recognized as part of UNESCO's World Heritage list since 2012.
