The city features the Jack County Museum, housed in the historic Jack County Courthouse, which was built in 1885 and is an excellent example of Second Empire architecture. The community preserves its heritage through various historical sites, including Fort Richardson State Park and Historic Site, which was once one of Texas's most important military outposts during the Indian Wars of the 1870s.
