Jabbeke is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders, situated between Bruges and Ostend. This Flemish town, with a history dating back to medieval times, has transformed from a rural farming community into a modern residential area while maintaining its peaceful character.

The town is particularly known for its connection to the renowned Flemish expressionist painter Constant Permeke, who lived and worked here from 1929 until his death in 1952.
