The St Fagans National History Museum offers centuries of Welsh social history gathered together in 100 acres of beautiful countryside. The museum features exhibits related to: costume and textiles, archives, agriculture, world cultures, architecture, industry, archaeology and social history. Key themes, people and exhibits in the museum include: highlights include st fagans castle, with its exquisitely restored rose garden, the rhyd-y-car ironworkers' houses, each one furnished from a different period in history, and the 1950'5 pre-fab, the most recent addition to the site.
