Calvisson is a commune located in the Gard department in southern France's Occitanie region. The town is situated between Nîmes and Montpellier, set against the backdrop of three distinctive hills known as "Les Trois Puechs."
This medieval village maintains much of its historical character, with narrow streets and traditional limestone architecture typical of the Languedoc region. The area has been inhabited since Roman times, and the remains of its medieval castle, though mostly in ruins, still crown one of the hills. The town is surrounded by vineyards and garrigue landscapes characteristic of the Mediterranean region, reflecting the area's agricultural heritage and wine-making tradition.
