Prague Astronomical Clock
Source

The Prague Astronomical Clock, known in Czech as Staroměstský orloj or Pražský orloj, is a medieval astronomical clock situated in the heart of the Czech capital, Prague. This historic timepiece is attached to the southern wall of the Old Town Hall in Prague's Old Town Square, making it a central point of interest for visitors to the city.

Structure of the Prague Astronomical Clock

The Prague Astronomical Clock is composed of three main parts. The first part, located in the middle, is the astronomical dial that displays the time and the positions of the sun and the moon. The second part, situated at the top, is the Parade of the Apostles, which features a procession of apostles that appears every hour. The third part, found at the bottom, is a dial with medallions that represent the months and indicate the saint for each day.
