Postal Stamp Museum and its collection

The Postal Stamp Museum is a musuem in Budapest that was opened to the public in 1930, on the ninth floor of the building of General Postal Direction on Krisztina Road, but was later moved to the newly completed post office in the 7th district, designed by Gyula Rimanóczy, in 1939. The exhibition hall is one enormous space with metal-framed glass plates fitting in cases. 3200 such frames in the exhibition hall contains the nearly 500.000 stamps that make up the permanent exhibition that is called "The History of the World on Stamps".
