The Natural History Museum Boekenberg is housed in an 18th-century cave complex. The history of the earth is the central theme there. The story begins in the Precambrian and ends in the 16th century, with the excavations of the Antwerp patrician residence Den Draeck. The permanent exhibition includes four main themes: Paleontology, Prehistory, Archaeology and Mineralogy.
