Using fossils, it depicts the development of life on Earth from primordial times to the present. It also focuses on invertebrates, including a butterfly and shell collection, native birds and the biology of humans. There are also two exhibitions for young people and children on sexuality and a focus on the turbulent relationship between Ghent and Charles V.

De wereld van Kina: het Huis Reviews

De wereld van Kina: het Huis has 1 rating.

  • Apollo's Insights AI-Generated

De wereld van Kina: het Huis is a natural history museum in Ghent that offers an educational experience for visitors of all ages. The museum features exhibits on geology, biology, and human evolution. Visitors appreciate the interactive displays and hands-on activities, which make learning about natural sciences engaging for children. The museum's collection includes fossils, minerals, and animal specimens. Some reviewers note that while the content is informative, parts of the museum may feel outdated. The building itself, a former 16th-century Dominican monastery, adds historical charm to the experience. However, some visitors mention that the museum is relatively small and can be explored in a few hours. Overall, De wereld van Kina: het Huis provides a good introduction to natural history, particularly for families with children, but may not offer enough depth for serious enthusiasts.
