Beauvoorde Castle, along with the church, forms the core of the village of Wulveringem, but fell into disrepair in the 18th century. In 1875 jonkheer Arthur Merghelynck became owner and restored the buildings to their 17th-century state and laid out the French-English castle park. The interior was decorated with a collection of artwork and furniture that can still be seen in the castle today.

Visitors appreciate the castle's authentic period furnishings and decor, which provide an immersive experience of 17th-century noble life. The guided tours are informative, offering insights into the castle's history and the lives of its former inhabitants. The surrounding park and gardens add to the castle's charm, providing a pleasant area for a stroll.
