Trois-Fontaines-l'Abbaye is a commune in the Marne department in the Grand Est region of northeastern France. The village gets its name from the historic Trois-Fontaines Abbey, a former Cistercian monastery founded in 1118 by Saint Bernard of Clairvaux.
The abbey played a significant role in the medieval religious and cultural life of the region. Although much of the original abbey complex was destroyed during the French Revolution, some architectural elements remain today, offering visitors a glimpse into the area's rich monastic heritage. The village is situated in a rural setting, surrounded by forests and agricultural lands typical of the Marne Valley landscape.
