Telavåg is a small coastal village located in Vestland county, western Norway. The village holds significant historical importance due to its role during World War II. In 1942, Telavåg became the site of one of the most severe reprisals by German occupation forces in Norway after local resistance activities were discovered. The entire village was destroyed, male inhabitants were sent to concentration camps, and women and children were imprisoned.

After the war, Telavåg was rebuilt and today serves as an important memorial site with the North Sea Traffic Museum (Nordsjøfartmuseet) documenting this dramatic history. The village maintains its fishing traditions and is surrounded by typical Norwegian coastal landscape with rocky shores and fjords.
