Spreckels is a small unincorporated community in Monterey County, California, located in the Salinas Valley.

The town was founded in the early 1900s as a company town for the Spreckels Sugar Company, which operated one of the largest sugar beet processing plants in the world at the time. The community was named after Claus Spreckels, a prominent industrialist and sugar manufacturer.

While the sugar beet factory closed in 1982, the town retains its historic character with several buildings from its early days, including the Spreckels Memorial Park and the former company offices. The surrounding area is known for its agricultural heritage and continues to be an important part of California's farming industry.
