Ribnitz-Damgarten is a town in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, located near the Baltic Sea coast. The town was formed in 1950 through the merger of the formerly separate towns of Ribnitz and Damgarten.

Ribnitz-Damgarten has a rich historical background, with Ribnitz being known for its former Cistercian monastery, which today houses the German Amber Museum (Deutsches Bernsteinmuseum). The town has preserved much of its medieval character, featuring historic brick Gothic architecture typical of northern German Hanseatic towns. The region has a strong connection to amber craftsmanship, a tradition that continues to this day. The town's cultural heritage is also reflected in its well-preserved old town areas, traditional fishing harbor, and its location along the historic trade routes that once connected the Hanseatic cities.
