Henrichemont is a commune located in the Centre-Val de Loire region of central France, in the department of Cher. The town was founded in 1609 by Maximilien de Béthune, Duke of Sully, who was the influential minister of King Henry IV of France. Originally named Boisbelle, it was later renamed Henrichemont in honor of King Henry IV.
