Fort Drum is a U.S. Army military installation located in Jefferson County, New York State. Established in 1908, it spans approximately 107,000 acres and serves as the home of the 10th Mountain Division. Originally named Pine Plains, the base was renamed Fort Drum in 1974 in honor of Lieutenant General Hugh A. Drum.
