El Prat de Llobregat is a municipality located in the comarca of Baix Llobregat in Catalonia, Spain. The city is situated in the delta of the Llobregat River, just south of Barcelona. While primarily known as the home of Barcelona's main airport, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, the city has its own distinct cultural identity and history.

Originally an agricultural area famous for its artichokes (Carxofa Prat), the city transformed during the 20th century into an industrial and urban center. The natural delta environment continues to influence local culture, with several protected natural areas and wetlands.

The city maintains its cultural heritage through various festivals and traditions, including the Festa Major (main festival) celebrated in September.
