Caterham is a town located in the Tandridge District of Surrey, England. Situated in the North Downs, the town is split between Caterham on the Hill and Caterham Valley.
The area has a rich history dating back to Anglo-Saxon times, with records of settlement appearing in the Domesday Book of 1086. During the Victorian era, Caterham experienced significant development with the arrival of the railway in 1856, which connected it to London.
