Zoom Torino

Zoom Torino is a zoological garden that was inaugurated in 2009. It is located in Cumiana, in the metropolitan city of Turin. The park covers an area of about 160,000 m² and is home to eighty-four animal species that are located in eleven different habitats. This provides a diverse and immersive experience for visitors.

Conservation Efforts at Zoom Torino

Zoom Torino was designed with the aim of protecting endangered species. The park hosts animals from other European zoological structures that are part of the EAZA. These animals are displayed in environments that reproduce their original habitats, specifically those found in Asia and Africa. This allows visitors to observe these animals in settings that closely resemble their natural habitats.

Hippo Underwater Exhibit

One of the most innovative attractions at Zoom Torino is the Hippo Underwater exhibit, which was inaugurated in 2014. This exhibit provides visitors with a unique opportunity to observe a family of hippos in an underwater setting, offering a unique perspective on these fascinating creatures.

Asia Section of Zoom Torino

The Asia section is the second largest area of Zoom Torino. It is located in the northern part of the park, above the Africa section and the Malawi Beach pool. This section includes the Petra Amphitheater and a jetty on an artificial lake. It hosts several Asian species, including Siberian tigers and a family of siamangs, providing visitors with a glimpse into the diverse wildlife of Asia.
