Located in the historic Abbey complex, the museum's setting itself is a point of interest. The exhibits cover a wide range of topics, from local archaeology and maritime history to traditional costumes and contemporary art.

Many visitors appreciate the museum's diverse collection, which includes artifacts from Zeeland's rich past, such as archaeological finds, paintings, and historical objects. The displays are generally well-organized and informative, providing context to help visitors understand the significance of the items on show.

The museum's efforts to blend historical exhibits with modern interpretations and interactive elements have been noted positively by some visitors. This approach helps to make the content more engaging for a variety of age groups.

However, some visitors have mentioned that certain areas of the museum could benefit from more extensive English translations, as not all information is available in multiple languages.
