Tierpark Angermünde, established in 1963, is a unique zoo located in Uckermark, Brandenburg. It serves as a place of relaxation with its park-like character and adventure playground. The park is a few kilometers south of the city center, stretching along Puschkinallee and covering a total area of 8 hectares.
Tierpark Angermünde is home to approximately 250 animals from 55 different species, representing all continents except Antarctica. The enclosures are located in an old park landscape, with the permanent animal houses built in the half-timbered style, reflecting the historical old town of Angermünde.
One of the unique features of Tierpark Angermünde is that it houses all six species of camels: Dromedary, Bactrian camel, Guanaco, Lama, Alpaca, and Vicuna. This makes it a special place for those interested in these fascinating creatures.
