The Vitensenteret Sørlandet is a science center situated in Arendal in Aust-Agder, and in Kristiansand in Vest-Agder. It is recognized as one of the nine regional science centers in Norway, forming part of the government's initiative to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The science center provides an interactive learning environment for children and young people. It offers them the opportunity to learn about mathematics, natural science, and technology through hands-on experiments and activities.
The science center offers a wide range of educational programs tailored for kindergartens and schools. In addition, regular teacher courses are held. Leisure visitors are also catered for, with new experiments or activities available throughout the year.
