Langsæ gård is a historic farm located in the municipality of Arendal, just a short walk from the city center. In the late 1800s, it served as a pleasure farm for the merchants of Arendal and also functioned as a merchant's farm. This gives visitors a glimpse into the lifestyle and economic activities of the period.
The main building of Langsæ gård is a Swiss-style villa, constructed in 1857. It is one of the first buildings of its kind in Aust-Agder. This architectural style is a unique feature of the property and offers a distinctive visual experience for visitors.
Today, the Langsæ gård property comprises the main building, several smaller structures, and the Kuben, which is Aust-Agder's county museum. The museum, built in more recent times, offers a range of exhibits that provide insights into the region's history and culture.
