The Skjern-Egvad Museum was an independent state-recognized cultural history museum. In 2007, due to the Structural Reform, it was merged with the Ringkøbing Museum. This merger led to the creation of the Ringkøbing-Skjern Museum, which continues to preserve and showcase the rich cultural history of the region.

Establishment and Recognition of Skjern Museum

The Skjern Museum was established in 1929 and later received state recognition in 1975. This recognition is a testament to the museum's commitment to preserving and showcasing the cultural history of Skjern and its surrounding areas.
