Royal Museum "Kamp van Beverlo" and its collection

Museum Kamp van Beverlo is housed in an old military hospital built in 1850. The museum is dedicated to the Camp of Beverlo located on the Dutch border. This camp was created when Belgium was at war with the Netherlands after its independence. Through models, documents and photographs, among other things, a picture is painted of life in the camp, the growth of the community, the two world wars, special units and military service. An eye-catcher in the museum is the medical service, which includes sick beds, wheelchairs, a steel lung, an X-ray machine and the autopsy table.
