The park recreates a Perigordian village from the year 1900 on eight hectares. It includes the reconstruction of public buildings such as a school, post office, chapel, washhouse, as well as artisan workshops like a baker's wood oven, wind flour mill, walnut oil mill, potter's workshop, photographer's studio, and fairground rides.
In most of the workshops at Le Parc du Bournat, the craftsman is present, demonstrating their skills and answering visitors' questions. This interactive experience provides a unique insight into the traditional crafts and daily life of the early 20th century.
In 2019, Le Parc du Bournat expanded its facilities by adding a camping site, known as "camping du Bournat", following the acquisition of the adjoining camping site, formerly known as "camping des 3 Caupains". This addition provides visitors with the option to stay overnight, extending their visit to the park.

Parc du Bournat has 1 rating.
Parc du Bournat in Le Bugue, France, offers visitors a glimpse into early 20th-century rural French life. This open-air museum features reconstructed buildings, traditional crafts, and period-accurate demonstrations. Visitors can observe blacksmiths, bakers, and other artisans at work, providing an educational experience about historical trades and lifestyles. The park also includes a small farm with animals, old-fashioned fairground rides, and opportunities to try traditional games. While many find the park informative and enjoyable, some visitors mention that it can feel somewhat touristy. The demonstrations and interactions with costumed staff are generally praised, though a few note that more English translations would be helpful for international visitors. The park's seasonal nature means some attractions may not be fully operational outside peak times. Overall, Parc du Bournat offers an engaging, family-friendly experience that brings history to life, albeit with a slightly commercialized touch.
