Aquarium du Périgord Noir has 1 rating.

  • Apollo's Insights AI-Generated

The Aquarium du Périgord Noir in Le Bugue, France, offers visitors an interesting aquatic experience. The aquarium features a variety of freshwater and marine species, with a focus on local river fauna. Visitors often appreciate the diverse range of fish and other aquatic creatures on display, including some exotic species.

The layout of the aquarium is generally well-organized, allowing for a smooth flow through the exhibits. Many guests find the information provided about the different species informative and educational. The touch pool, where visitors can interact with some marine life, is frequently mentioned as a highlight, especially for children.

However, some visitors note that the aquarium is relatively small compared to larger city aquariums, which may affect the overall experience for some. The price of admission is occasionally mentioned as being slightly high for the size of the facility.

Maintenance of the tanks and overall cleanliness receive mixed reviews, with some visitors praising the upkeep while others suggest there's room for improvement. The staff is generally described as friendly and knowledgeable, though more interactive presentations or guided tours could enhance the experience.

While the Aquarium du Périgord Noir may not be a world-class attraction, it provides a decent aquatic experience, especially for families and those interested in local aquatic ecosystems. It serves as a good activity for a few hours, particularly on a rainy day in the Dordogne region.
