The Norwegian Telecom Museum had a nationwide presence, with exhibitions and collections in several locations across the country. These locations included Stavanger, Jeløy, Kristiansand, Lier, Lærdal, Lødingen, Sørvågen, Tromsø, and Trondheim. This allowed visitors from different parts of Norway and tourists to experience the museum's exhibits.
Closure and Merger of the Norwegian Telecom Museum
In April 2017, Telenor, the main financier of the Norwegian Telecom Museum, announced that it would cease funding the museum's operations. As a result, the museum was closed from January 2018. However, the museum was merged with the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology, ensuring the preservation of its exhibits and collections.
