Nordberg Fort, situated on Lista in Farsund municipality, is a former coastal artillery combat facility that was part of the Navy. This historical site offers a unique insight into the military history of the region, providing an opportunity for visitors to explore a significant part of Norway's past.
Nordberg Fort stands as one of the few German coastal forts that have been preserved in their original form. It is currently protected and managed by the Vest-Agder County Municipality. In 2009, a new museum building was opened at Nordberg Fort, enhancing the visitor experience with a café, shop, and varying art exhibitions. A permanent exhibition dedicated to Lista's renowned artist, Mathias Skeibrok, is also housed in the museum. This combination of history, art, and amenities makes Nordberg Fort a comprehensive destination for tourists.
