The Museum Quintana, also known as Museum Quintana - Archaeology in Künzing, is an archaeological museum located in the Lower Bavarian municipality of Künzing in the Deggendorf district. It is a partner museum of the Archaeological State Collection in Munich and a member of the Museum Network World Heritage Danube Limes Experience. The museum is supported by the municipality of Künzing and showcases archaeological finds from the Künzing municipality area.
The main focus of the exhibition at the Museum Quintana is the history of Eastern Bavaria, as exemplified by the municipality of Künzing, one of the oldest places in Bavaria. The museum displays archaeological finds and discoveries from the Neolithic period in the 6th/5th millennium BC to the Early Middle Ages.
In addition to its permanent exhibition, the Museum Quintana also hosts annual changing special exhibitions on various cultural history topics. These exhibitions provide an opportunity for visitors to learn about different aspects of history and culture in a detailed and engaging manner.
