Museum of Culture and its collection

The Museo delle Culture (MUDEC) is the Museum of Culture of Milan that houses the ethnological and anthropological collections of the city as the "Museum of World Cultures". As part of the Museum of Natural History, a collection of ethnographic objects that had been growing since the 19th century, became independent. The permanent exhibition differs from the usual, mostly geographically structured ethnological exhibitions. The exhibition of the Museum of Culture in Milan reflects the history of the collection as it grew, showing the intentions connected with its formation and tracing the historically changing view of foreign worlds.
