Museum Lambert van Meerten is housed in the former house 'Oud Holland' of the art collector Lambert van Meerten. In 1892 he had this canal house built. The building itself has a remarkable panelling, a staircase and a Leiden room, decorated in the style of Johannes Vermeer. The collection of the museum includes several paintings, woodcarvings, furniture, a large tile collection of Jan Schouten, objects of glass, Delftware, and Japanese and Chinese porcelain.
