The Museum of applied art Frankfurt (Museum Angewandte Kuns Frankfurt) is a museum of artisanal art and design in Frankfurt with a special emphasis on design, fashion and the performative element. The collection comprises 65,000 pieces over a period of 5 centuries, with the main focus being European craftsmanship and design from the 12th to the 21st century. The modern museum building was designed by the American architect Richard Meier. It was constructed in 1985 in the park of the Villa Metzler, now called the Museum Park. The villa itself is also part of the museum.
