Musée d'Orsay has 2 ratings.
The Musée d'Orsay, housed in a former railway station, is a treasure trove of 19th and early 20th-century art. Visitors consistently praise its impressive collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces, featuring works by renowned artists such as Monet, Van Gogh, and Renoir. The museum's architecture, with its grand clock and spacious galleries, adds to the overall experience. Many reviewers appreciate the museum's manageable size compared to the Louvre, allowing for a more focused and less overwhelming visit. The sculpture gallery and the top-floor views of Paris through the clock face are often highlighted as standout features. Some visitors note that the museum can get crowded, especially around popular paintings, and recommend purchasing tickets in advance to avoid long queues. A few reviewers mention that the audio guide, while informative, could be more user-friendly. Overall, the Musée d'Orsay is highly regarded for its world-class art collection, beautiful setting, and the quality of its curation, making it a top choice for art enthusiasts visiting Paris.
