In the Maastricht Museum, on the 1st floor of Centre Céramique, we tell the hidden stories of this extraordinary city. Our time travel begins about 7,000 years ago, with the first permanent inhabitants. From there we go to the Roman conquerors. They built a bridge over the Meuse River here for the first time. Then we visit Maastricht in the early Middle Ages (from 500 to 1000 AD): a political-religious center. And finally, via the fortified city of the 16th to 18th centuries, we arrive at the first factory town of the Netherlands in the early 19th century.See you in Maastricht Museum!
