The London Transport Museum conserves and tries to explain the transport heritage of London. The majority of the exhibits in its collection originated in the collection of London Transport (the organisation that was responsible for the public transport network in London). Its collection has however expanded to cover all aspects of transportation in the city. The museum has many rail and road vehicles on display as well as various films, photographs, plans, drawings and posters related to transport. For the youngest children there is a family zone with mini cars.
