The Lake County Museum of Art (LCMA), which opened its doors in 1995, is a hub for historic and contemporary artwork. The museum showcases pieces from local, regional, and national sources, providing a diverse range of art for visitors to enjoy.
Since 2009, the Lake County Museum of Art has implemented a $5 entry donation for non-members. This small fee allows visitors to explore the gallery and appreciate the diverse range of artwork on display.
In November 2012, the Lake County Museum of Art relocated to a scenic location on Lake Eustis in Ferran Park. This location offers visitors a beautiful setting to enjoy the museum's collection.
In April 2019, due to financial difficulties, the museum had to leave its location in Ferran Park. However, a partnership with the Herbert Lehner Foundation allowed the museum to relocate and rename itself as the Lake County Museum of Art. It is now situated in Tavares.
