L'Atelier Renault, located on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, is a hybrid between a car showroom and a brand experience center for Renault. It's not a traditional museum, but rather a space where visitors can explore the latest Renault models and learn about the brand's history and future vision.
The venue offers a mix of experiences, including displays of current and concept cars, interactive exhibits about automotive technology, and a shop for Renault merchandise. Many visitors appreciate the opportunity to see new and innovative car designs up close. The space is modern and well-designed, providing a good overview of Renault's offerings.
However, it's important to note that this is primarily a marketing space for Renault. Some visitors find it less engaging if they're not particularly interested in cars or the Renault brand specifically. The experience can be relatively quick, and some feel it lacks the depth of a traditional automotive museum.
On the positive side, admission is free, making it an accessible stop for those exploring the Champs-Élysées. The staff are generally reported to be friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicles on display. The café on the upper floor offers a nice view of the famous avenue, which many visitors enjoy.
Overall, L'Atelier Renault can be an interesting stop for car enthusiasts or those curious about the Renault brand, but it may not appeal as much to general tourists looking for a comprehensive museum experience.
I went to the Renault museum in Paris (now Alpine ) expecting to see some of the Renault cars, new, concept, F1 and vintage, that are shown on the Google page. Their own website appeared to be inaccessible. Such a huge disappointment; it was just a car showroom with a small shop selling merchandise. With the 2022 F1 season about to start and the unveiling of the new regulation cars happening it was an enormous let down. Come on Alpine! How about treating us to some some of that old F1 magic!
