Jenle, the artistic home of Nanna and Jeppe Aakjær, is nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Astrup Vig on the peninsula of Sallings, just 12 km north of Skive. The property is beautifully situated amidst two forests, offering a serene and tranquil environment for visitors.

Visiting Hours and Periods

Jenle welcomes visitors from July 1 to August 31. Additionally, groups and schools can plan their visits from mid-April to mid-October. This allows tourists to plan their visit according to their convenience and enjoy the beauty and history of Jenle.

Structure and Exhibitions at Jenle

Jenle is divided into two sections: the memorial rooms, which were the Aakjær family's home, and the outbuildings, which now house a museum. The museum features a permanent exhibition that provides a glimpse into the Aakjær family's life from the mid-19th century to the 1960s, enriched with elements of general history.
