The Howe-Waffle House and Medical Museum in Santa Ana offers visitors a glimpse into late 19th-century medical practices and Victorian-era living. This restored 1889 home, once belonging to Dr. Willella Howe-Waffle, one of Orange County's first female physicians, provides an educational experience for history enthusiasts.

Visitors appreciate the well-preserved architecture and period-appropriate furnishings that transport them back in time. The museum's docents are often praised for their knowledge and enthusiasm, offering informative tours that bring the house's history to life. Many find the medical instruments and exhibits particularly interesting, showcasing the evolution of healthcare over the past century.

However, some visitors note that the museum is relatively small and can be toured quickly. Additionally, as it's only open on limited days, planning a visit can sometimes be challenging. A few reviewers mention that while fascinating for those interested in local history or medical practices, it may not hold the attention of younger children or those expecting a more interactive experience.

Despite these minor drawbacks, the Howe-Waffle House and Medical Museum is generally well-regarded for its historical significance and the unique perspective it offers on early American medical practices and Victorian life in Southern California.
