Source

The Museu Casa de Nhozinho is a museum situated in the historic center of São Luís, Maranhão. It was inaugurated in 2002 and is housed in a four-story mansion built in the early 19th century. The museum's name is a tribute to the popular artist, Antônio Bruno Pinto Nogueira, also known as Nhozinho, who was a master in buriti carving.

The Museu Casa de Nhozinho boasts a collection of regional everyday elements. These include indigenous pieces, fishing utensils, ox carts, network looms, ceramic pots, buriti towels, popular dolls, indigenous featherworks, and toys that mimic animals.
