The Henry VII Experience at Micklegate Bar is situated in the southern gatehouse of the historical city walls of York. The museum experience is devoted to the first Tudor King of England who ruled for twenty-four years after defeating Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth: Henry VII. Here visitors can find out about his early life as heir to the throne, see the impact on York as it prospered throughout his reign. The museum also features interactive experiences that explore life and death in Tudor times.
