JORVIK Viking Centre and its collection

JORVIK Viking Centre
Source

The Jorvik Viking Centre is a museum and visitor attraction with lifelike mannequins and life-size dioramas depicting Viking life in York. The name of the museum is derived from the Old Norse name for the city of York. The remains of 1,000 year old houses that stood on the same grounds are revealed and objects that were taken from the excavations are displayed. The Jorvik Viking Centre features a ride experience with the sights, sounds and smells of the Viking-Age.
