The Frankfurter Feldbahn Museum is a musuem in Frankfurt dedicated to the narrow gauge railway. Feldbahnen are a narrow-gauge railway transport system. Track systems can be laid quickly, flexibly and without much technical effort. The gauge of the field railway is often 600 millimeters. For comparison, the standard gauge of state and private railways is 1435 millimeters. The compact dimensions of the locomotives and wagons made them more versatile. More than 500 years ago track wagons were developed for the mining industry. The Frankfurter Feldbahn Museum illustrates the development and the origin of the railways and modern railway technology
