The European Money Center is housed in a tenement house from the turn of the 18th and 19th century with features of classicistic, late Baroque. Until 1996 it served as a dwelling house for employees of the mills administration. In 1945, it became the property of the State Treasury, and in the 1990s the City of Bydgoszcz became the owner of the place. In 2009, after renovation and reconstruction works, the tenement house opened to the public as the museum European Money Center.
