Elleboogkerk and its collection

The Elleboogkerk is a new exhibition space on Langegracht in Amersfoort. In the coming years, it will host extensive installations by national and international artists. A major fire in 2007 destroyed the church and the Armando Museum it housed. Much of the collection also went up in flames. Marx and Steketee Architects were commissioned to rebuild the church and provided it with a beautiful roof with skylight. The Elleboogkerk is an initiative of Amersfoort in C (Kunsthal KAdE, Museum Flehite, Mondriaanhuis, Architecture Centre FASadE) and made possible by the municipality of Amersfoort. This special exhibition space focuses on contemporary art. With a focus on extensive installations that immerse you in a total experience, the Amersfoort museums surprises its visitors several times a year.
