The Ørnereservatet, also known as the Eagle Reserve, is a raptor reserve located in Bindslev, in the northern part of Denmark. Established in 1980, the reserve is dedicated to the positive education about falconry and the cultural history of birds of prey. It also focuses on nature and environmental education regarding their biology, lifestyle, and endangerment.
The Ørnereservatet is home to approximately 100 birds, including various species of eagles and falcons. Over the decades, the reserve has housed species such as the Golden Eagle, Sea Eagle, White-tailed Eagle, Giant Sea Eagle, Imperial Eagle, Cliff Eagle, Hawk Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Gyrfalcon, Hawks, Bearded Vulture, and the Bearded Owl.
One of the main attractions of the Ørnereservatet is the regular free-flight demonstrations. These demonstrations provide visitors with the unique opportunity to see these magnificent birds of prey in action, showcasing their impressive flight skills and natural behaviors.
