Role of Bronson Mulholland House During the Civil War

During the Civil War, the Bronson Mulholland House played a strategic role. It was vacant at the time and was used by Confederate soldiers as a lookout when Union forces were approaching down the St. John's River. In 1864, Union troops occupied the city of Palatka and utilized the house, then known as Sunny Point, as an encampment.
